Enabling Students to Grow

CANOPY’S programs enable students to grow into their full academic potential.

Turning Point Seattle partners with parents, teachers, and students in setting tutoring goals.

Tutoring

Students work with the same tutor each day and receive over 100 hours of one-on-one tutoring. We partner with students, teachers, and parents in setting tutoring goals, and our tutors are as diverse as the students we serve.

If you’re interested in registering your child in our tutoring program, please contact Lynn at Canopy, lynn@canopyscholars.org.

STEM Camp

STEM Programs give students the opportunity to strengthen skills critical to their future. Our summer Robotics Camp is led by an elementary technology teacher and students are matched with mentors to build and program robots. The culminating event is The Battle Of The Bots Celebration where students demonstrate their creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills for their families.

If you’re interested in registering your child in our summer robotics camp, please contact Lynn at Canopy, lynn@canopyscholars.org.

A key characteristic of Turning Point is the fun community that develops through sharing dinners together.

Community Dinners

A key characteristic of CANOPY is the fun community that develops through sharing dinners together. Students, parents and tutors share monthly dinners with culturally traditional dishes. During dinner, students showcase their personalities by putting on a fun (and funny) Variety Show – playing instruments, singing, dancing, showing their artwork, and serving as emcees. It’s a fun way for students to increase their leadership skills and for parents and tutors to cheer them on.
